Abstract:
The MedicScan® OCR True Parse+ ScanShell 800R enables you to easily scan the image of medical insurance cards, extract the data and present it in a user friendly interactive window.

The data and image of the scanned insurance card can be:
- Stored as a file on your PC or LAN server
- Exported to a 3rd party applications
- Published via FTP
- Sent by E-mail

The extracted data:
- Is shown as an interactive image of the card
- User can select specific fields, parts of a    field, or even multiple fields together for
   additional extraction.
- Is saved into a file

MedicScan® OCR True Parse is an insurance card scanner with extensive OCR capabilities. The textual information from the image of the medical insurance card is extracted into appropriate text fields, presented in an interactive window, and saved to external file, clipboard or 3rd party software.

MedicScan® OCR True Parse is a friendly scanning system for medical insurance cards, which automates the archiving process of medical insurance cards. It effectively eliminates the time and efforts of manually typing insurance cards' information and scanning images into your software, increasing productivity and reducing human error.

MedicScan® OCR True Parse quickly and accurately captures the text and images of medical insurance cards from both sides of the card (scanning the card twice). The extracted text and images can be inserted into patient's data sheets, saved to a file, or exported to any other application, as well as emailed and sent to an FTP or web address.

MedicScan® OCR True Parse comes complete with Scanshell 800R - a twain compatible A6 color scanner with a resolution of 600 dpi. The scanner, which has a very small footprint, is attached to the computer's USB port, thus requiring no external power supply.
